Fishtown Salmon Report August 18, 2011

I guessed Mark's best king weighed over 20 pounds.

We fished between the village and clay banks this morning and had good luck with big kings.  The fish were down 70-80 feet, bit on spoons and Dipsys with spoons. I was glad Mark was there to help me lift the cooler off the boat; it was nearly full to the top.

Other boats at the island did well too. Some fished on the west side, others fished north and all caught salmon. The guys on the first bank caught good numbers of fish with most being trout.

Thanks for a great time this morning. We all had lots of fun. We’re looking forward to trying the recipe we read about earlier here!

    • Nice people, hungry fish, good weather make for a good morning.
