July 29, 2010 Leland Salmon Fishing Report

Salmon fishing the last two days has been a head-scratcher in that one day all the kings are there and feeding and the next day they have moved or are there and not feeding all that much. Yesterday’s wind kept the boats at the dock in the morning, but it dropped enough in the afternoon for everyone to go out. The SW wind had pushed the thermocline deeper to around 130-140 feet and while there were plenty of salmon showing, not many bit for the boats. The NW wind that moved in during the afternoon should start the thermocline moving back up.
