Leland’s Fishtown

I get emails from all over from people who just like Leland’s Fishtown.  Some have just found it on the web and wonder what exactly it is. All I can say to them is that it is a place where the good smells from the  fish smokers of Carlson’s  mingle  with  early morning bread baking at the Cheese shop. There are kids fishing from the dock for bass, charter fishing boats unloading their catch of salmon and trout, ferry boats taking people to the islands,  people  eating burgers and such under the umbrellas at the Cove, commercial fishing boats, shops, ice cream, and people having fun. It is unique.

  1. Hello,

My name is Brooke Wolin and I am writing from the photo department Bon Appetit. We are doing a feature on Traverse City Michigan and would like to include your photo (above) of Leland Fishtown. Please email me at brooke_wolin@condenast.com. This is EXTREMELY time sensitive.

    Thank you!

  2. Hi,
I saw the August issue of the Bon Appetit article with this picture in it. Can I also use this picture for an upcoming post in my blog?

    Thank you,
    Eileen

    • Sure.

      • Hi Captain Bill,

Thought you might like to know that I published your photo in my blog yesterday. Here’s the link:

        Thanks!

      • I’m glad that worked for you. I visited your site – nice job.

      • Glad you used it. I was pleasantly surprised to see my photo of Fishtown taken from the dam in Leland in the August issue of Bon Appitite ( how do you spell that?)

    • You bet!

  3. I hope you got some credit from Bon Appetit! Hope the weather’s nice this Labor Day weekend for a nice boat trip. It’s 90 degrees in Chattanooga – great for swimming on the TN River.

    Have a good weekend!
